Trekkers interested in this path start at Kissamos, cross Polyrrhenia, one of Western Crete’s mightiest and most significant cities in antiquity, then Kalathenes with such sights as the Venetian villa of ‘Rotonda’ and an old pottery workshop. Further onto Kastanodasos where they come across a small waterfall and an old settlement, to conclude this path by crossing the Sirikario Gorge, of rich flora and fauna, which hosts two olden watermills.
